Will you let 6th Gens into your 5th Gen clubs?
If you are in a club that until now has been specific to 5th Gens, what will you do if a current member buys a 6th Gen and sells the 5th Gen? Will you let them remain a member? Will you let 6th Gen new owners in your clubs? What are 5th Gen specific clubs thinking? Will you open up your membership? If not, why?

We have a Camaro club, and a couple of the members have since traded in their 5th Gen's for the new C7 Vette and they are still around. We are in it for the people, not necessarily the car although the car was the big ice breaker in the friendships.

I will not let my 6th gen play with a 5th gen, it may catch low performance syndrome.
and i'm just playin, so don't get your ...ties in a wad.

The way some 5th gen owners are I could easily see it happening. Wouldn't want to dilute their club of super amazing exotic ultra-rare 5th gens.

Glad you can amuse yourself , So you are saying 6th gen will be a rare exotic car ? Every 5th gen owner I have meet has been a pleasure to talk to, Along with the 1-2-3-4 gen owners , Maybe if you actually owned a Camaro you might know this?

I think you are missing the humor. He 'spoking fun at the guys here who think the have a Chevy Testarossa or a Aston Martin Camaro. Regardless of what vehicle you have, there are snobs who look down on all others. Look to any thread where someone added 22" or larger wheels if you want a quick glance at some of this snobbery (is that a real word?)

Can you get two bags of clubs into a 6th gen?

I was just curious how other clubs are going to handle it if they have been established as 5th Gen only clubs. The club I am in is currently 5th Gen only and we are discussing what to do. It's pretty even at some people saying NO 6 Gens allowed and others saying just make the club multi generational. Another thought is to have a "sister" club to the 5th gen club for any future Gens. Personally, I think limiting your club to one specific generation of Camaro is not the best idea. I joined and made friends and now if I decide to get a new model, I'm out of the club???

Nah, don't need a Camaro to know that a ton of 5th gen owners are snobs.

Let's not pick on one another. It was just a question to gather some info.

Unless you'd want to add some neon lights or Lambo doors to your 6th gen, then you'd probably be allowed in the "club". It's not really the actual owners or the cars themselves, it's just the culture at some of these "5th gen only clubs" which is not my cup of tea. |
