Is it hard to keep a rabbit healthy?
My sister had rabbits when we were kids and I'm trying to remember how it is. I don't think it's particularly harder to keep a rabbit healthy--it's just harder to tell when they aren't feeling good. If your dog is sick, you can tell by the way it acts. Rabbits, hamsters, etc pretty much hate you 24/7, so you can't really tell.

Maybe it's time to pick out a family dog? Having a bunny isn't as enriching as loading up the dog in the car and going camping, IMHO.

Oh, we have dogs. My dog is the best, and the kids dog is..... well..... they really like her.

They stay in the backyard though.

Bonnie just told me that the pet store said if she was feeding the rabbit a lot of lettuce that the rabbit could have gotten dehydrated.

I had rabbits as a kid, never saw anything like that. I hate to see a kid go through something like that, so sorry for her.

Hey, is Bonnie pregnant?!

We raised rabbits when I was a kid. They die easily for the stupidest reasons. Not much you can do....

I have no idea. Some good ideas being thrown around in here, neurological problems are a definite possibility, rabbits are also easily spooked and something might've literally scared it to death...

I deal with cats and dogs. I've seen a grand total of three rabbits at work...

Wish I could help further, but I can't. :(

Sorry to hear about your loss though.

There's no telling. Domestic rabbits are pretty fragile. I had tons of 'em growing up and every single one croaked without explanation...

Sorry that had to happen to her. I know it hurts. It happened to my Rabbit when I about 6. I still remember it today after over 40 years.
