What else for E85?

I just installed DSX's E85 sensor and harness and made a few changes to the tune like enabled Flex Fuel and a few others. It's working as the alcohol output reading states 9%, expected for our fuels here in Colorado during Wintertime (E10'ish).

I'm heading to the tuner tomorrow who is a good E85 guy, but he usually just makes a tune for E85 to load up when racing, and load the original tune when not racing. With the sensor installed, I'm thinking he'll just have to tune the E85 tables. Then I can run E85 when heading to the track, put 91 octane in for all else, and the ECU will adjust stoich, timing and fuel for whatever I put in the tank. I do have ID1000's and LPE fuel, so that's not an issue fueling my AGP TT motor.

Is there anything else you think I'll need to know before heading in to the tuner? Trying to arm myself with the right questions and statements to provided the tuner.

Just needs to tune the flex fuel tables, basically how much timing do you want to add with the meth. The sensor/etc will tune the fuel, so no need to mess with that. If the fueling is spot on with 91, with the sensor working it will be on with any blend. The stoich tables are already filled out and accurate from the factory.

Boost Creep in Longmont. Got 129 more ponies with E85 over 91 - that's a 25% increase in HP. Was only expecting half that so that surprise was nice.

And still probably perfectly safe since all you did was make up for elevation.

I would have had them do a solid 800rwhp actual if you had fuel then you can go around showing everyone your 950rwhp dyno chart.

Once we dialed in the timing, we started bumping the boost. The car reacted incredibly to that with significant HP increases. Going to hold it at a nervous but solid 746hp crank for now (actual). That is about 940rwhp corrected.

The last challenge is to get rid of the idle surging. Driving me crazy. Tried clamping off the PCV line on the catch can and that settled it down some, but it appears to be a timing issue at idle. Any ideas?

I've noticed that the higher in elevation you are the more power you gain switching to E85.

Your setup is a bit different than mine, but I had Calvin take care of my low RPM/Idle/bucking issues.

I'm still not finished tuning my flex fuel setup, but one thing I've noticed, I'm not taking that much of a hit on MPG as I was expecting, altitude maybe
