Plasti Dip?

Was thinking of getting some black rims to change the look up on my car. Then I saw Plasti Dip. Anybody use it? Does it last a long time? Recommend or not? Thanks.

Please dont do that. I've never seen a good looking plastic rim. They all peel. Paint them instead.

you might want to check our site and see how few commemorative editions were built before doing anything you cant undo.i believe there were 918 SS models produced, and the wheels are specific to the edition.a buddy has one and his wheels are a different color on the inside of the rims than standard SS rims.a set of replica ZL-1 rims would look good,be black and you could store your originals unmolested.

This for sure, paint them or have them powder coated. Every one I have seen dipped they look like crap, and it does peel off like banana says, then what?? Do it again? The right way? Plus your car looks too nice to have dipped wheels on there. Just sayin..

Good call. Hit the used section. Black rums are always popping up in there.

Thanks, I was thinking it might not be perfect. I might just keep my eye out for a set of black rims in the classifieds. I don't think I want to paint the rims I have as they are part of the Commemorative package that I have on my car.

Thank you. I think I will just look for a used set of black rims or get a new set.

It is hard to get off if you change your mind. Some people even damage their wheels trying to get it off.

I powder coat wheels I run on the street because rattle can paint does not hold up well either. Plastidip is for the track wheels.

Thinking about these wheels and https://www.phastekperformance.com/M...-wheels-gb.htm

And these size tires. Recommended Tire Size for 20x10" Front Wheels: 285/35 ZR20 tire
Recommended Tire Size for 20x11" Rear Wheels: 305/35 ZR20 tire

Can I go bigger on the tires or stick with those?
