Aftermarket FI and road trips?

Anyone here ever done a long ass road trip with their aftermarket boosted setup? I want to take my Camaro to Virginia and visit my brother. Besides the obvious of me getting annihilated with gas, what else I should keep a look out for

Chicago to Virginia.

I haven’t taken any road trips with my agp setup, but I’m confident it’d be fine. Where in VA? There’s a lot of fun mountain roads in the SW part of the state, you could even look into taking a day trip to Deals Gap if it’s not too far.

How long have you been supercharged? Any issues in that time? If not, sounds like it’d be just another drive

Maybe pack a spare belt, oil, coolant, and a small toolkit for emergencies.

My bro’s in the navy, so Norfolk. I’ve had the blower since last May. Tune hasn’t been the best, but I’m going to a different tuner this March 7th. Going to pulley down, fix drivability and fix my hot starts.

I want to test the twisties if there are some along the way. Probably bring a 5 gallon fuel tank also.

Find where all the e85 stations are on the way.
Maybe switch to 93 for the trip.

Keep an eye on motor and the centri oil. Maybe take an extra belt. And, of course tools.

I've taking my SBE LS3 with AGP TT on an 800 mile round trip (with race events midway) with no issues. Good tune, FF sensor but ran 91 on the road trip with E85 at the events.

My daily driver was down and i needed to get from San Diego to Sacramento for a wedding. i did the best i could to make sure everything looked perfect and threw my suit in the car and took off. I took very basic tools and 2 cans of Torco encase i was stuck pouring shitty gas. I took turbo stuff with me in the event i REALLY needed it. Hoses, clamps an extra filter. I even brought 2 quarts of oil and 2 spark plugs i had sitting around. Round trip, only thing that happened was the front sway bar bushing popped out and made a rattle for the last 200 miles.

I'd for sure bring a belt OR TWO if i were you, and the correct tools to deal with that.

I'm only at 7lb boost so fuel availability not an issue. Happily drive mine into and around Europe on 2500 mile roadtrips; I take a blower belt and the usual bulbs, fuses and a few hand tools. Never had any issues. I probably worry more about punctures and the dreaded space-saver tyre fitment...

I drove mine from Albuquerque, NM to Sanford, NC (~1500 miles), and from Sanford, NC to Orlando, FL.....all without issue. Also, I averaged about 22mpg on 93 octane.

That's not bad at all. I'm bring my car down to CSP on the 8th from Long Island so this will be the cars first long trip (about 2 hours depending).

For instance, going from a higher elevation to a lower elevation with a SC, you can make more boost. If you're tuned for X amount of boost at elevation then traverse to a lower elevation, you can make X+more, and if you're not tuned for it or already pushing the envelope for fueling (or head gaskets), you can over"power" your setup, or run lean. The tunes have barometric pressure adjustments in there to compensate for the changes; however, most tuners don't touch them (I'm not sure how necessary it is to touch them). I believe with general (daily style of driving), your trims will make any necessary adjustments for fueling. But, if you plan to race it, be aware.

I’ve had no issues doing 8+hour trips. Made a trip to the Woodward dream cruise in Detroit a couple years ago when I had my torqstorm set up.
