Will we see the ZR1 750 hp in our Camaro s
As I try and keep and follow the trend it seems with: Dodge going from 707 hp th 797 hp in Redeye ! Caddy went from 550 to 640....corvette went from 505 to 650... and we all know the Devil at 808/840!! So it would be a logical move to get the Hipo Camaro from 650 to the 750 output. Whatcha all think bout that??
Oh and make sure it’s a handshake tranny |

Let me summarize the consensus of the 17 plus pages already on file: “Yes. No. Maybe. Your opinion is wrong. No, your opinion is wrong. No, your opinion is more wrong. Yes. No. Maybe.”

If the Camaro moves to a 7th Gen (I fully believe it will but I'm just saying "if" for some dumb reason), and if the C8 Z06 gets close to, the same amount, or more than the current ZR1's HP output like the C7 Z06 got slightly more than the C6 ZR1, then I'd say the C8 Z06 will be around 725-775 HP. And if that does happen along with the trend staying where the ZL1 gets the Z06 output, then we should see a 725-775 HP 7th Gen ZL1. Those are a lot of "ifs" but I do think it will happen.
Of note should be that the C8 Vettes do not need overwhelming HP now that they have a superior design. If rumors of an AWD Z06 or ZR1 do come to fruition, then it could very well be around 550 or 600 HP and still straight up destroy cars with much more HP. So this entire design we see in the C8 just might be GM's ticket to reduce HP while making the car much faster in every way imaginable. If so then I can see the Camaros going off on a different road where they will no longer get trickle down engines from the Vettes since they will need the extra HP while the Vettes won't. So there is a lot in store and a lot of changes to expect in the future. |

Honestly, I can’t imagine GM trying improve the balance, performance and HP output of my ZLE. I’m amazed every time I drive it! Seems that any deviation would only disrupt the harmony of the car.

Yes, are you sure, no, then maybe might be wrong, but could be right if I was not wrong, but only maybe if I was wrong.

GM did not announce anything other than that they are putting development on hold for now. It has not officially been cancelled. So until it does I'll be hopeful even if I have no plans to buy one.
