No meth, just a big air to air. I am doing an “interchiller” set up that uses the ac to chill the fluid so no ice. I do not expect this intake to make me much if any faster. I think the car as it sits now would take me well into the 8’s. I have always just wanted to try an interchiller and this intake will make the most of one.

I finally got around to working on my car again and have some data. I will have lots of data eventually.

I opted for the stage 2 interchiller set up which gets you a 2nd condenser and supposedly temps down near 0deg. Unfortunately it isn’t working out quite that well. After doing a fair amount of reading it seems our style of compressor is limited as to how much suction it can pull. Suction = low pressure = low temp.

What am happy about and what the stage 2 kit is likely helping with a little is how quickly it chills the fluid. This thing takes 5-6gallons is fluid and drops it from 72deg down to 30deg in 15minutes flat. 😳

I will be logging everything under the sun once I get it driving and have more data like air temps.

I insulated everything and gained about 1/2 a deg. I thought it would be more. Then i pulled a trick with the freon and gained about 6 deg. This is all in the garage. Once I get out on the street it might do better.

I dropped a valve last year and messed up my motor. I decided to take a break from the car and pay some stuff off. I am back to spending money again but am kind of leaning toward building a more showy car/dyno queen/ street car and eventually building a separate dedicated light weight drag car. I am trying to remember to enjoy the building of the car.

This what I always do with my cars, I have no desire to do a track only all out build. I want something that looks good, can be driven anytime I want anywhere I want but has the power to kill most things you run into on the street. I am doing a 416 twin turbo build shooting for 1200 rwhp, that should be plenty and it will still look and drive like factory mostly.

Looks very wicked and I'm sure it will run that way also. Tracks are starting to open so get prepared to do some test and tuning.

got some data. this is some neat stuff if you like data. note the air temps in the 3rd section. this is a stock genV 5.3. car made 533rwhp on a mustang dyno which seems about right for a stock 5.3

I also logged pre turbo exhaust pressure and it was an exact 1-1 ratio with boost. that isn't in this pic.
