Why, what is the difference/advantage given by one over the other?

The way it was explained to me was dry filters better but wet flows better. Wet filter sucking in dust or dirty air would be bad.

I believe I read Roto-Fab post "2 hp increase over oil filter" in a previous thread ZL1 thread.

Just installed mine. 2019 ZL1 six speed. Install went well. Finish looks fantastic.
Disappointed on the increase in blower whine. Its very minimal.
Why does everyone say its so intensified? I am not having that experience at all. The stock unit and this are barely different in sound. Only minimally louder with the rotofab.

*this is the second thread I posted my results before anyone has a heart attack. Just trying to get some answers, maybe I did something wrong? ??? Hmmm---

What filter did you go with?

I noticed an increase in sound primarily with the window cracked but it’s there. I have the standard “wet” filter.

Get on the interstate, turn your radio off, and roll down the windows. Drop the hammer, you will not believe how loud it is. 17' A10 with Roto-Fab and Mamo.

Drove it last night around some back roads and in town at 2 a.m. after the install - no cars out at all. Got on it pretty good a lot of the time. If I wasn't hearing a significant sound change then, the intestate isn't going to make one bit of difference.

Has anyone dyno'd the Rotofab without a tune? They claim 26HP on website, would love to know if that claim is true.

Just installed Rotofab yesterday. No increase in blower whine (disappointing). Might have to remove the suppressor in the supercharger lid.

The Rotofab kit is probably the highest quality kit I’ve ever installed, and I’ve installed many. It is very well engineered, parts are very well packaged and the instructions are crystal clear.

I recently moved from TN to Denver and the car seemed sluggish after the move. I just attributed it to the altitude change. As part of this install I did the overnight ECM reset, and the car runs noticeably better now. In retrospect I guess probably should have done the ECU reset after moving here. Anywho, car is a beast now. I’m a happy camper.

I'll be honest with you guys, I bought it mostly for the looks and don't think it adds much power over the stock airbox, at least not at my power level (560 rwhp).

The car sure feels louder, but someone would have to run a scientific experiment to prove this, the placebo factor is real.
