Texas Heat and 0-60's

So I recently got my oil changed and have been doing a few 0to60's and in this Texas heat the best I can get is 4.4 so far... That seems terrible. I tried using the Launch Control and all that did was roast the tires. I'm wondering if heat is having a big roll in it or if I just need to get out there and practice a lot more. Complete stock 2016 Camaro 2SS 6 Speed manual, I know the auto's will be faster but curious to see what you guys have been getting 0to60 on non prepped surfaces as stock.

Don't feel to bad. 4.4 is very fast and respectable. Remember GM said 4.3 for the manual and then changed it to 4.0 for the manual for the 17's. Don't sweat a 4.4. Come up to Denver where it is hot and 5200' above sea level, and enjoy trying to break 5.0 seconds to 60mph. Best I can get is 4.9 and that is with tons of practice including track time.

The first time I drove to Colorado Springs in my 335 I thought the turbo went out. All better when I got back home!

Im at 6000 feet here in Colorado too. Always wondered what my car could do at sea level. I got 4.9 once, but usually 5.2ish... Doesn't help that it's been hot as hell here lately either.

Well thanks for the replies guys! At least I know it isn't just me sucking at shifting lol. I'll keep doing more 0-60's as it cools off, if ever. 4.9 @6k feet seems pretty impressive being that high up. I've seen quite a few youtube videos of people doing a lot slower in many different cars that high up.

Best I've gotten is 4.9 without launch control here in West Texas. We're about 3000 feet above sea level.

I would imagine fast times in Houston around this time of year. Good atmospheric conditions help a lot.
