It all comes down to the tire size and the actual tire design. The Pirelli 305/35's rubbed a nice hole in my driver side rear padding, but Michelin's of the same size didn't. I am now running 305/30/20's Perilli's and have no rubbing issues. This is the same size that is on the 2017 1LE and ZL1.

I have tested 285's Perilli, Michelin's and Nitto tires on the front with no issues.

315's WILL RUB!!!

So I just paid $450 to Classic Chevrolet service department due to my tires rubbing through the wheel well and rubbing a wire bare under it. It shorted out the entire IP and HUD. I had 315/35/20 on the rear. So I went down to 295/35/20 in the rear, and 285/35/20 in the front.

295-35 is what I'm going to run on mine. A lot depends on the wheel, 11" with a 305-35 is pushing it.

People are trying to get a taller tire to fill the gap rather than the right tire and lower the car to reduce the gap. Personally I hate no tire gap unless it is track only car with really stiff suspension. Need room for the suspension to fully articulate on a daily driver.

This, but I want to use the GM Gen6 non-MRC lowering kit.

2 zip ties allowed me to reroute that wire harness and avoid that issue.

Are you still running 30s or 35s in rear?

I'm running 22" and have 305/25/22 going to a 315/25/22 as I have room and 265/30/22 in front no rubbing and I'm lowered with BMR springs

I am nor running 315/30/20 in the rear, but had to use 5mm spacers to avoid rubbing on the rear driver side where the harness is.

I noticed the stock 17' ZL1 runs 305/30 in rear. 1LE using 275/35 in rear. Both on 11" rear wheels.

Curious what made you go with such wide tire in rear? Cosmetic or tire brand options?

V8 1LE uses the same tire sizes as the ZL1. You are quoting the V6 1LE tire size

That's wrong. GM needs to correct it.
