My girlfriend just traded in her 2012 Impala for a 2019 Honda Accord. I like both cars given their perspective years, but this new Accord is really amazing IMO. If I were looking for a brand new 4 door sedan for under 30k I honestly think this is the car I'd pick. We drove the new Malibu, Camry, Altima, and Mazda, but this one was a notch above overall

Impala is a beautiful car just a different genre.
Enjoy! |

When I was looking to replace our family car I considered the Impala and really like it but it was much more expensive than the 2018 Accord Touring we bought. I like the looks of the Impala over the Accord but the Accord is just as big and has more standard features. HUD, Ventilated/heated seats and full safety features are standard on the Touring model. Love the Accord but it's mostly my wife's car. For me the Camaro is a great car except for the A8 issue but I have an extended warranty for that. Just wish I had gotten the manual transmission. |

Thanks fellas. I get our bias to Camaro. It was a hard decision. No kids to haul anymore but looking at retirement in roughly 5 yrs and I wanted a nice cruiser for US road trips between our 4 mega trips; Hawaii, Australia, Europe and finally Alaskan Cruise. And stupid GM forced me to act before I wanted to. Impala was my choice. The lines on this sedan are very cool, hood, side body lines & even top of trunk! Not a fuddy duddy sedan.
I know I'll miss the 2018 Camaro, heck I still miss my 2013 Vert. I will always be partial to Camaro. Whoever asked, the interior is Jet Black/ Light Wheat which is freaky close to my 2013 Vert. I took a final shot before I left the house & headed to the dealer, with my Riviera. |

Sounds like you are really digging the new car and THAT is all that matters!
Also to the Accord posters, I swear their 2.0t Accords are faster than my 2011 camaro v6. When that turbo kicks in, it really sucks you deep into the seat!

Not a fuddy duddy sedan huh?
Don't know about that, but look at it this way, you now have the Impala you want and you can get another Camaro next . At least before GM kills the marque again. |

I think your perception is spot on. Based on a few races between my 18 V6 and the 2.0t Accord Sport, I'm pretty positive it would take any stock 5th gen V6 Camaro. Up till around 60 mph mine is less than a car length ahead. Run from a roll and I slowly and steadily pull but not that hard at all. I'm thinking it would be a good race with a stock turbo 4 Camaro |

Black wheels, short headliner, and lack of storage....
Uhm... ok bud. Whatever you need to tell yourself to justify it lol. Its like you never considered those things while shopping and test driving the camaro in the 1st place |

Loved my 2013 Camaro Vert, but Chevy couldn't figure out top issues. My main concerns were a hard top, light interior and crazy cool blue paint. I was hook line & sinker for Camaro. Gotta be real. The headliner was the biggest issue, not just mine and the tranny issue at 35K miles when out of warranty when 5 or 6 yrs old. The Impala has tried & true 6 speed tranny with same as Camaro V6 engine. And BTW, Accord sales have dipped b/c of poor front end redesign. |

I never warmed up to the '10 -'13 Camaro droopy cat eyed tail lights. They bugged me evey time I saw one on the road. I thought the '14-'15 was an improvement by a long shot over the '10-'13. Problem should have been fixed with the gen 6 styling but one more time Chevy styling department lost their way. The chassis is state of the art but not the design or interior. Add a little class im the Chevy, Maybe even comfort for 4. Sad because as said the gen 6 is a lot of car overall but lacks eyeball to respective buyers.
The Impala never did get a pulse back after they killed the big car which had a cult following. Maybe it's just Barra after all for allow cars that should sell to die without fixing why people are walking past them. A shame to see GM die on the vine but I'll say right here and right now, I'll never buy a GM car built offshore or north or south of the USA. If I want some import I'll buy an Import but it wont be a car that should have been built inside this country and wasn't.They can stick GM's China car where the sun doesn't shine.

Yeah, not a fan of the front or side of our Accord Touring but what a car for $33K. With the 2.0 it's $35K and is a high 13 second car. The Accord Sport cost less and you can get a 6 speed manual. Amazing cars for the cost but it still sounds like a 4 cylinder unlike the Camaro V6 or V8 which sound awesome. |
