The best business decision for me is probably leasing a new Camaro.

Thanks for all the responses, this has been great help.

I've had four Camaro's over the years and a C7. I liked them all but prefer the Camaro for cruising in on a sunny day, just more comfortable to drive. C7 definitely felt good on the road , handling was slightly better than my 2SS. The mag ride makes a difference, worth having. It does make a difference to be that low in the 'Vette, C7 could really corner. I went back to Camaro in 2020 and then bought another one this year as I knew it would be the last year they were produced.

I wish I liked the C8 but the car doesn't do anything for me. After having the C7 for six years (bought new) I waited for the C8 to come out to decide whether to buy a Camaro or the new version 'Vette. Just didn't like the look , didn't speak to me as they say.

Now they are all done producing Camaro's this may be my last sports car, kind of appropriate, first car I ever owned was a new Z28, the Camaro has come such a long way over the decades !!

I would go for the C7 over the 24 if you're going SS, personally. I'm not a huge fan of the 19-24 design, it's not terrible but I think the 16-18 are MUCH better.

If it was 24 ZL1 or C7, that would be much harder.

(For some back info, my engine blew at 56,000 miles and was rebuilt by Chevrolet warranty.) Here's that thread:
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=560229

I drove it another 15,000 miles and sold it during the height of the used car prices because my wife developed motion sickness while riding with a manual transmission.

I have owned 4 Camaros, and I'm a Camaro guy. I was planning on buying a C7 but I have seen the nitro yellow color on the Blazer, and it is spectacular, so now I'm thinking maybe I get a 2024 Camaro. I like the idea of getting the last model. I have not driven a C7 yet. I have driven my son's C6 and I really liked the better visibility, being lower to the ground and the lighter feeling.

Can I get some opinions? Are the nitro yellows going to be available or will they be so popular that they're not available? Would I need to order it?

Have any problems been addressed in the newer models like the "hot start" problem, etc.? I haven't been around this forum in a while so if someone can post any important links to threads, I would appreciate it.
Wondering where you have been(I had a hiatus too), how is your "Chechnya" doing? I used mine to prep my ZL1 for PPF and ceramic. Thing is loud but it works. I've used it to sand some wood for a stain too.

LOL, that polisher bit the dust on me! I used it for a pretty good while before it quit.

22 ZL1 and 17 Grand Sport (which I bought after test driving a Z06), both automatics and owned since new.

From a performance and practicality standpoint, and a somewhat better driver's position (more legroom mainly, and the Recaros), the Camaro is hard to beat. But, then again, the Corvette is fantastic and it is a Corvette.

If I had to pick one, I'd probably keep the Camaro. The ZL1 is just an incredible machine.

I have a few others (see signature below), and the Camaro gets the most use. It's basically my daily driver.

Nash, how would you compare your ZL1 with your GT500? Those GT500s appear to be generally more expensive than the ZL1 and you certainly don't see many of them.

The droptop always gets the nod on the nicest sunny days as long as humidity isn't oppressive. The Vette gets the nod when shopping as there's a huge amount of space on the flat hatch floor even with the targa top stowed.

The Vette is more tossable but the Camaro is well rooted and comfortable when pushed. As others have noted, the NPP exhaust sounds better on the 2SS Camaro. While they both share the 460HP 6.2L, the Vette is quite a bit better on highway fuel economy(when not pushed) with the 7 speed manual, far better aero and less overall weight.

These cars are daily drivers except for the winter. I jump between the two cars for three seasons. They're quite a bit different in a most compelling way. I consider it having my cake and eating it too X2.

Just offering a different option: I have a '21 ZL1, and my wife and I wanted a 3rd "fun" car. She at first wanted a Corvette so I was looking at C7s. They are great looking and cool cars, but I feel like I see a lot of them around here. I wanted something similar in performance but a little more unique/rare, so I bought a '22 Supra 3.0 instead. Nearly identical performance to a Z51 C7. The Supra is a really fun car, it weighs about 3,350 lbs, so its relatively lightweight by today's standards, tossable, responsive, usable power, good weight distribution. Makes comfortably over 400 hp despite being rated for 382 hp (BMW engine). It doesn't have the small block Chevy sound, though, and it is harder to get in and out of than my ZL1, if that's an issue as some people have mentioned.

I will clarify the rumors that while it is certainly BMW hardware, Toyota designed and tuned everything that can be tuned to their liking in a vacuum separate from BMW and the Z4, so it's not "just a BMW" as many like to claim.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options.
