Why Can't Chevy at Least ACT Like It Wants to Sell 2024 Camaros?

I have contacted four dealerships in the Phoenix, AZ area, and NONE of them will order a 2024 2SS. They want to sell what's coming in. WELL, I have news for you dealerships that think you are going to get a sale out of me. The Camaro is so expensive that I want EXACTLY the options I want, and nothing else! CHANDLER CHEVROLET wanted to try to flimflam me into a $5K MARKUP to order the car. I WALKED. AUTONATION Mesa tlaked a good story, then when I got serious and told them specifically the RPO CODES for the car, and wanted the ORDER WORKBOOK, they all of a sudden said they would not be able to ORDER ANY 2024 CAMAROS! AUTONATION GILBERT's GENERAL MANAGER talked a good story, then turfed me to a gal who didn't seem to be capable of reading my E-Mail with all the RPO CODES, contacted me several times, and when I said I'm ready to order, come in and put down a fully refundable deposit, she replied that AUTONATION GILBERT HAD NO ALLOCATIONS. The GM had already told me weeks earlier they did have allocations. COURTESY CHEVROLET in Phoenix "Internet Sales Manager" told me he could order one, BUT after providing the RPO CODES, he developed a case of shyness and quit responding to texts/E-mails that he had initiated.

I started a month ago trying to order a 2023. Stonewalled there, too.

If someone knows a dealership even reasonably close, I will order the car, and travel there to pick it up. The gauntlet is thrown. Anyone out there able to pick it up?

Autonation in Denver wouldn’t fill an order for me either when I was looking around. They said GM isn’t allocating them any Camaros and haven’t filled any of their orders. If you consider Denver, CO to be close enough, Emich Chevrolet and John Elway Chevrolet put in orders and are high volume dealers, so seem to get a decent number of allocations. When I originally placed my 2024 order before finding a 2023, both were also MSRP only and apply incentives.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your suggestions! I'll call them today!
