He stated that reducing timing in order to run a smaller pulley would reduce longevity due to fuel limitations in the stock system. If you upgrade the fuel system, you would not have to reduce timing, thus not affecting the longevity of the engine.

Bumping this, I am about to install my D1SC kit next month and would like to know what size pulleys produce what PSI/power levels.

I haven't personally used a D1SC on any stock motor'ed LT1. Since there is little to no reason for it, when a P1SC1 is more then enough. Anything less then 750rwhp, might as well have the P1SC1. I was speaking on results from cars I have personally tuned. As very repeatable packages. Quote:
Anything more then 7-8psi on these cars stock is playing with fire. Not everyone in the country gets the same quality fuel. Not everyones HPFP and LPFP is exactly the same, etc. So the numbers I am talking about are not "one hit wonders, or hype" But solid real world, all day everyday numbers. Quote:
Guys that put them on engine dynos have made well over 1,000 HP. We however rate them at 925hp worth of airflow at the max RPM. Quote:
We try and get it as close as possible to their request. (given the variables, such as altitude, engine rpm, modifications, etc) |

Just realized that my shop that ordered my Whipple also ordered a 3.375 pulley. With only mods out the gate would be to fab an airbox. LOL.. Guessing from I just read we won't be using during the first stage of this build.

I don't see the correlation between the whipple pulley size, and the procharger pulley size. Am I missing something here?

Sorry about that. I'm not that familiar with F/I and had reacted quickly on my thought. I thought the logic was the same but please disregard. I do see now that this was equipment specific.

I have a D1 with a 3.9 making 715-800 depending on dyno (LOL) at about 11.5-12 lbs. I still have fueling issues so all dyno pulls have ended about 6300. Except for the one that saw 806, that pull was higher and it made 13lbs
