LOOKING FOR EVERYONE"S HELP PLEASE READ

So I'm new here and to owning a Gen 5 Camaro and I need all the help from everyone here. I Bought a 2012 Camaro SLP585 and found that the original owner was here on the fourm. He went by the name Arta and was living in Tonawanda NY. I would like to get in touch with him to get some info on the car and also the SLP tuner that came with the car is not with it now. I was hoping he still had it. I kooked back at his post and saw he was intouch with some of the members here. I sent him a PM but nothing back from him. So If ANYONE can help me out I would really appreciate it!
Thanks

His profile shows he hasn't logged on since March of 2017, so unless someone knows him in person or he still has his profile to send him emails when he gets a message, he isn't likely to know you are trying to reach him. This is also assuming he isn't just deleting the emails since he doesn't log onto the site anymore.

You can buy a tuner, but first take the car to the dealer and have them flash the
factory program back in. If there are updates, they're usually free, and will solve that
issue. You won't be able to tune it with a tune in it.

Info on the car is on the net:
For the 2012 model year, SLP only built a total of 250 ZL560/585/600
Supercharged Camaros using any combination of V8 coupe, convertible, manual or
automatic transmission equipped cars, all with a 5 year/100,00 mile powertrain
warranty.

For 2012, the cost of transforming a Camaro SS into a ZL585 increases to $19,995 for
a total of about $57,000.

Equipped with all of the options except one (wasn't specified), $73,000. Stefano
Ciambella of SLP Performance confirmed that no buyer adds all of the options.

2300 Series TVS, High-Output Supercharger.
In actuality, it generates 592 hp at 6,200 rpm.
Adjustable sport suspension that lowers 2.5 cm in front and 2 cm in back.
PowerFlo or Loudmouth II exhaust.
Cold air induction system.
Short throw shifter with leather covered shift knob.
Cylinder head covers in assorted colors.
Sport suspension spring package.
Carbon fibre hood with air intake and extractor.
Rear spoiler and diffuser.
Red Line 20-inch 5-spoke alloy rims.
ZL585 body logos.
Embroidered logos on the seats, seat cover with logo.
Sequentially numbered dash plate.

You can go to the Chevy site, open a chat window for support, and ask for a build
sheet, and provide the VIN. That well tell you everything it came with. The RPO
sticker should be on the trunk floor, left side, by the spare tire well, or on the
underside of the spare tire well cover. I got my build data that way. Just copy
and paste it into a document and save it.

If I take it to the dealer and the flash it will lose the current tune from SLP that's what I want to keep.

Yeah, I am not sure how that works. I wasn't sure how they did it.
You will have to contact a dealer to see how you can work that out.
There's nothing in the literature that says it comes with a tuner. I
figured they programed it like they do the Stage III Roush Mustangs,
which doesn't come with a tuner. Unless is was something he bought
from SLP separately. You should be able to contact SLP directly, they
will have the info on your build.

Send a PM to Mr. Wyndham. He's a mod on here and lives in Buffalo. He may know him from local events and such.

Your Camaro was built by Specialty Vehicle Engineering in NJ. Just google them. Make sure you have the VIN # handy. They are what used to be SLP.

Is the car 100% stock? I'd be leery about loading a stock tune in there if any mods have been done.

No it has the SLP dyno tune in the car. I can't flash it or I'll lose this tune. I'm trying to find the guy that was on the form that bought the car new. There was a tuner that came with the car with the SLP tune on it in case you have to have anything done and the computer is flashed you can reload it. I'm hoping he might have it because it didn't come with the car

Did they say how much?

I would say it is likely worth it, unless you go with HP Tuners and find a new tuner.

But if I had that car I would probably want to keep the SLP tune on it, although I have no idea how conservative it is or if there is still power to be had.

Do you need the tuner bc of making additional mods, making adjustments or just in case?
