I have the ADM and Rotofab (and Weapon-X ported TB), are you saying the car was FASTER after you removed the intake???

OP, have you ran the car in sport or track with all nannies off? (Hold the traction control button on the center console for 7-8 seconds)

Even in sport/ track mode there is still power being pulled unless you do the button hold.

We get 100 degree humid heat in the midwest and can feel the reduced power but the car still feels quick. Typically I'm down 2-4 MPH in the 1/8th mile from summer heat compared to cool fall air.

Do you realize it was in the high 80’s low 90’s today in Austin? Way over ISA. High density altitude. High DA = poor performance. Poor performance plus spinning tires = really really poor performance.

Yes by a good margin. Actually have the PDR on back-to-back sessions where I switched back to the stock air box and green filter and the throttle response and acceleration/terminal speed is much better taking the Rotofab off. I went out with the stock air box / green filter after the Rotofab so the da wasn’t even as good because it was a couple of hours later and it still was 3-4 mph faster to certain points on the track that I usually mark. Have never posted this because I didnt want to appear to be bashing a vendor that’s supplying stuff for our cars. I’m sure with a tune and other stuff done the Rotofab is the way to go. It’s a great looking piece and I was sorta bummed at the way my car ran with it. I do have the Tony Mamo ported TB and that is a mod that I feel definitely helped.

Supercharger will likely be more affected by heat than a N/A motor like the SS.
But even 110 degree weather can't make a ZL1 feel slow.

Something smells fishy.
Expectations too high?

Solution is simple.
1. Do a 0-60 run and compare notes with others in your area.
2. Dyno.

A few bucks on a dyno test is worth it to put your mind at rest.

I have both a 2SS (far from Stock) and a ZLE, it is not even close IMO. Even with the headers and catless sound, the 2SS is noticeably slower.

This. With more vehicles owned than I can count, this car is a monster in every way. Something odd here.

I haven’t tried the car yet with the nannies off! I will have to try it!

The best I got was 4.0 flat. With an average of about 4.3. Not great but imagine that's fast considering the tire spin. Idk... The car just doesn't have that get up I imagined it would have.
Car is doing a 4.0 while spinning, that's not sluggish… That's a 3.5 no spin.
When you are driving around town, I will agree, pedal effort sucks, I think that's more because of the 10 inch converter. make sure you are always in SPORT. that's when the tranny gods take control and crazy shifting happens,,

This car really needs to get on a 1/4 mile track and get a full run so we can break it down.

If you're spinning on 0-60 use launch control and see what happens. It's not the fastest way but it is consistent and you should have repeatable times along with some practice using some of the tools available. I'm betting you'll break 4.0 which is really a normal time with wheel spin.

As mentioned the Z is very refined and can be deceptive.

+1

Car in Sport, Suspension in Sport or Track, Exhaust in Track, Steering in Sport... and top down of course of you can. Nothing slow or sluggish about it.
