Trunk not opening?

Anyone have trouble with their trunk not opening?

Sometimes the trunk only pops up half way on command, but doesn't fully un-latch so it can't be opened up. It has to be pushed down to relatch and then re-open it so it fully unlatches.

That happened to me only once. I pushed it down and pressed the button again and it opened. Hasn’t done it since. I just make sure to close the trunk firmly.

adjust trunk stoppers ...they're adjusted too short if your trunk isn't opening.

Other issue could be if you recently took the center cover plastic off of around the latch area and didn't re-install it correctly so it's fully seated. The trunk stoppers then wont land on it correctly and you'll get that issue too.

Yep - happens to me twice a week.

When the trunk doesn't come up, I usually just re-latch it by pushing down on the trunklid. It always pops open afterward.

Maybe I'll try cellsafemode's suggestion - I'll turn the stoppers up a turn or two & see what happens.

Yep, common sense.. yet I didn’t think of even looking, even after adjusting my hood stoppers so that everything would align. Anyhow, just checked the trunk stoppers, and yes indeed they were way off. One was up about an inch and the other all the way down 1/8 inch. Simple QC items missed during build, disappointing.( but glad they’re easy fixes).
