How was the performance gain (acceleration change? steering?) going to this setup? It likely dropped 40+ lbs and thats similar to what I was considering doing.

Warranty concern due to a 5mm spacer? I'm confused. You realize the spacer can be removed in 2 minutes and 5mm isn't a big spacer. I can't think of one issue such a minimal spacer could cause.
