It seems like PTFE hose IS the way to go.
Yep! I read about the differences in the hose end types in your thread, so you already saved me from making a blunder like that. It's how I knew to look into the difference. So big thank you!

Awesome! I was looking at the Fragola 6000 series as well as the Vibrant stuff. Good feedback. Helps to know what others like and/or are using.

My general rule of thumb for fueling systems: pick a brand and stick with it. I mean yes, AN fittings are standardized, but call me overly paranoid. All my ORB/AN fittings are Fore (since I have a triple pump system from them). and then since I used Fragola line, I used fragola real street ends on everything. I dont mix up anything else and I dont look at the price tag. It's a fuel system... buy quality. My car and I are currently NOT on fire. I would prefer it stay that way.

Just my .02 though.

I used Fragola PTFE line and Racetronix PTFE AN fittings and it all worked fine together.

While I'm waiting for the PI kit to ship... let's talk boost and pulleys.

In order to raise average boost, as a side effect, I'll be raising peak boost too.

What's a safe average and peak boost for SBE? If I wanted to target 10 psi average, I'm thinking that might be around 12 psi peak.

I'm also thinking I'll be in the neighborhood of a 3.7" pulley, and can play with shift points to tweak to something safe.

I think 10 to 12 boost is pretty safe especially since you'll be running E85. I don't know anything about the pulley sizes for PC.

depends on your lower.... there are two different sizes for our cars. 7.65" and 8.25"

after that, you can play around with the procharger rpm calculator found here:
https://www.procharger.com/supercharger-calculators/

additional note: the general rule of thumb is that every 0.1 change in pulley size on the upper will equal ~ 1 psi. that is again a rule of thumb.

I ran a 3.9 upper and 8.25 lower and had ~10 psi in a fairly free flowing FBO engine. Results are in signature.

So with my stock balancer (7.65) and 3.7 upper on my sbe I was at 12psi at 6700 rpm on a 75* plus day. Colder temps would see 13psi plus.

8.25 pulley and 3.7 upper on forged, cam, ported heads was making 13.5 psi in summer and 15 psi in sub 60* temps at 6800 rpm, if I take it to 7-7200 I gain almost 1.25 psi.

Great info! Looks like I have the 7.65 lower, so seems to me like the 3.7" is the right choice for what I want.

What upper do you have now?

I would honestly start with putting an ATI underwrite pulley on, and a 8.25 lower.

Increasing pulley size on either upper or lower will increase your contact patch, and have less of a chance for belt slip.

Naturally going down in size increases your risk of belt slip.

Typically belts start to slip in the 3.5- 3.7 range.

Also you get to have better dampening and the underwrite pulley frees up some cheap horsepower as well.

What opted you to go with the plates vs an intake with injector provisions using the PC?

You can get a btr Trinity with pi holes cnc ported for less then the plates i believe, at the end of the day it’s your build thou. I was merely curious is all.

Thx JP
