All I see on the front of that BMW is a giant bug catcher. It'll be rough keeping that clean.

I guess they are trying to appeal to the Canadian market more, eh?

So far, this is no bueno for me.

But, I thought the 19 facelift for Camaro was fugly when it came out. It started growing on me after a while, however, and I actually like it in person, so here I am. I will reserve judgment until I see one in person.

I can't find the rear of the car right now, but the M4 rear is also not great at first sight. It looks kinda like an Asian car's rear.

I liked the flame designs, especially with the 3 (non coupe), never really warmed up to the 2013 3, just had an odd profile trying to mimic the 5 but without the space to do it, and I thought the 4-GC was really what should have been the 3. But they cleaned up the 3 a lot with the G20 and at the same time introduced this turd (4 series) and the 2 series GC. These are just bad.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_3_Series_(E46)

Chris Bangle and Dr. Wolfgang Reitzle (BMW Head of R&D)[14] were responsible through 1995 for the production sedan's exterior,[15][16] as evident in the 1997 design patent.

Bangle's flame surfacing design influence is evident on nearly every modern expressive car, INCLUDING THE CAMARO.

Maybe you are referring to Andrew van Hooydonk:

I’m not sure you understand my point. Bangle was responsible for this:

It’s called the Bangle Butt. And it’s one of the most infamous design blunders in history. Brought to you by Chris Bangle.

That’s what I meant. Maybe you’ve never heard of it?

From the title, I was thinking this was going something along the lines of an Edsel....

Edit:
BWAHAHAHA, I'm evidently not the only one!

Well, what they did to the Camaro SS front in '19 was no great piece of design work either. The BMW beaver tooth front grill does look kinda funny though. I think the U.S. models will be slightly toned down due to the domestic front license plate holder.

LOL!!! I always commented those remind me of an old locomotive cow catcher! Looks positively silly IMO.

And to OP, the BMW is quite hideous. Yikes!!!!

Yeah, i went through the same process... although didn't have the same initial pearl clutching reaction to the 2019's others here did. Weird some here will compare this new bimmer grill to the 2019, when the 2020's added maybe 2 ft^2 of body paint and moved a badge 4". Anyway, i too am reserving judgement on the bimmer until i see it in person. I remember how the automotive press couldn't stop hating the bmw 1 series looks when it came out. Saw a 1 series at an auto show, then went to a dealership and saw more in person, then i bought one new. I think it's bangle design has aged really well when i see them now.

With the references I posted and the accuracy to my statements, it is quite clear you are the one speaking out of turn here.

If you'd like to know the exact power of the influence of the "Bangle Butt", go look at any new Sedan. Even the Camry has copped it by now.
