What tire pressure are you using? What is your burnout procedure?

When I did have 20in Nitto 555r tires, I would 60ft in the 1.7 area code all day. 555r I felt needed a good size burnout to hook properly.

Was the track prepped? Or a street legal event.

It was a test and tune event so I don't know how well prepped it was or even how to tell if it was prepped at all. A lot of guys who came with me were spinning too but I could not even get one clean pass in. I felt ashamed.

How would the Nitto NT01's do? I was thinking about running them in back in 315/30/ZR20 on my 20x11 wheels.

Man the reviews for the et street rs are great, my next purchase will be them. Not wasting cash testing tires out

The only 18" ET Street R they seem to offer is 29" tall. That means really tall gearing. With your MSD and cam setup, your engine needs to rev. My suggestion for your car would be the MT ET Street S/S 305/35-18 to keep your gearing reasonable.

Thanks, have no idea what that means but will look into it.

Looks like a really wide 27" tall is in the works for the et street r.

The ET Street S/S uses the same compound as the ET street R. Its tread pattern is just better for daily driving or rain etc. They would probably hook pretty similar edge to the R.

Like I said the scat pack at my track uses the S/S on a 20 inch wheel and he cut a 1.69 60 ft. They are a good choice as well.

My one and only time at the track on my 555R's resulted in multiple low 1.7 sixty foot times the best being a 1.71. With my next round of mods coming I don't see any issue going into the 1.6s on these. I'm not saying they are as good as the MT but the 305 MT stuck out too far to daily drive on. The 305 Nitto is a narrower tire in a 19".

It's tough trying to find any DR that will fit on my 20x11's in back.

I run the MT 305 on my 20x11 and have no issues at all, they actually ride nicer too. I can't emphasize enough how awesome they are, it's the best compromise between street and strip imo. (Multiple 1.68 60's too)
