First time at track with video.

I ended up keeping traction control on during all my runs until I get comftorable with the car. My best run was when I accidentally kept it off, and I was letting off because I felt a lot of wheel spin.

Will you use drag radials or the tires in your sig?

Competitive Mode did not make any noticeable difference for my car. I use Track Mode with TC off, this includes stock tires and with drag radials. You'll need the TC off to do your burnout. Remember if you have TC off, you need to control any wheelspin on the track with your foot.

Your first run, take it easy and learn where the track goes, where the finish line is, and where you get your timeslip. Pay attention to shutdown and where you need to be slowed down by.

So you leave stabilitrac enabled?

If you want a guaranteed respectable run use launch control. It wont be the fastest possible time...but im guessing you gonna have some trouble hooking with those tires unless the prep is amazing.

Id try at least a run or two with the launch control. Especially if youre having trouble.

I'm using drag radials, my sig is my street tire.

Also, this is important and I see a lot of people do this wrong and it can be dangerous. If you are the outside car and you win, let the inside car turn off the track first. Do not turn in front of the car. Follow them off.

Yes. When the car was stock I tried Competitive Mode a few times and it did not improve the ET over Track Mode with TC turned off on my car. I noticed no difference. However if you want to try launch control, I think you'll need Competitive Mode for that. I've never tried launch control myself. Your car has a lot more hp than mine does so it might act differently, I don't know.

Competitive mode is a mode that is like "added" on top of Sport or Track modes, it doesn't replace it.

But if you want to use launch control you have to be in Sport or Track, and then turn on Competitive. But if you don't plan on using launch control just leave it off and turn off TC.

Great point. Yes sir buddy, had a guy cut me off last year and damn near smacked him, his first time on the strip. After we stopped I went over and talked with him for a while. Nice kid but just didn't know strip etiquette so I helped him out.

Work on yer timing at the tree too and have fun.

My best of day was 8.06 in 1/8 mile and trapping 94 mph, a full bolt on 6th gen buddy of mine was trapping 92 and a best of 8.2. I ended up keeping tc on most of my runs except the first which got me my best time of 8.06.

I think I had too much fun and doing some more research, didnt realize I should take breaks between runs for car too cool down. That's why my first run was thr fastest even though I let off at end. Question, going to the track twice a month, what type of other maintenance should be performed more often?
