Right now, the preliminary ETA on my car is March 10th according to GM's system. I'm hoping that a 2-month build-to-delivery time is exaggerated.

I'm hoping to take delivery of mine before you take delivery of yours. :P I want to say mine was built a few days ago, but I believe it may have been built earlier. Given that it was supposed to begin building on the 24th, it's possible that it was built on maybe the 10th? |

Mine was almost certainly built on the 12th.

It was actually supposed to be on 1/24. I'm not sure why it was bumped up except for the fact that I ordered an M6, no PDR, no 1LE, and only ordered the kneepads, no sunroof. Relatively basic ZL1 as far as ZL1s go. My salesman claimed that if I didn't pick up my order, that it would be picked up pretty quick. Not sure if it was a veiled threat after I showed him my GM employee discount code.... |

So my car was built before yours, in theory ours should be around the same time as each other purely because Im getting the 1LE wrap on the hood, delaying the process.

Oh so my employee discount, several years ago (16 years ago...so not THAT long ago :P ) this same dealership was abusing my information (bought a GTO from their Pontiac store) and was doling out employee discounts to everyone. GM suspended my account and as it was a "he said/she said" I didn't bother to contest it. It also didn't help that GM wasn't making anything that I really wanted. When I started looking at the Camaro, I placed my order and thought I should check to see if my account was active. Sure enough it was, which is a nice surprise for me, so I'm not that concerned if I do or don't get the employee discount. I presented it to my salesman and told him that I will most likely be buying other GM vehicles now that I have the discount and like to do Uber on the side (I buy a cheap new car and use the hell out of the depreciation for taxes as it really helps me with tax liabilities). I can probably buy an Equinox now with the GM employee discount and have the car paid off in a year driving Uber just on the weekends. At the end of the year, I have a 1 year old Equinox with a buttload of miles, but still sellable. I also told him that I could offer up the GM friends discounts that I get (I think I get 6 a month) if he makes it a point to introduce me to the people that are getting it. One thing I need to make sure of, is to keep track of my GM employee discount notifications to make sure that they don't try to do to me what they did several years ago. |

I'm fine with paying MSRP as some people are paying more. I do hate that they're trying to lowball me on my trade-in. The funny part is that I think the salesman thinks he's going to get me on the financing part as I asked him if 0% was available, but he might be in for a surprise.
