Thermostat for track usage

I've done some searching, now it's time to ask. In my HPDE track vehicle I've got a 495 HP LS3 crate engine. Previous owner installed a 160 degree t-stat. I'd like to move up to the 180 (or so) range. Who makes a good quality thermostat?

I run the Mishimoto 168 good thermostat kinda pricey though. An you do have to adjust the tune.

A bigger 4 core aluminum radiator is helpful as well.

Thanks for the info but I'm looking for a stat that is in the 180 degree area. Cool AZ mornings (30s) and my current 160 degree t-stat result in a fairly long warm-up period. During a 20 min HPDE session coolant temp stays around 200 F or so. I looked at the Mishi website and it seems they don't carry a 180* unit. I found a Lingenfelter 180 in the Summit catalogue but I read they are made by Motorad. I may just go with an AC Delco unit available at O'Reilly's.

If memory serves correct, the factory is a 186° stat.

I run the SLP 160 in the Camaro, but I ran PN 19161951 in my 02 Silverado and I seem to remember finding out it was made by Motorad. Lingenfelter generally has pretty good stuff.

Scoggin-Dickey 180 that I run. Not too cool & not too hot. Going down the road, the engine will run about 185.

I wound up going with a Murray/Motorad 187* unit. Didn't have very many choices since my stat/housing/water pump is the EARLY one piece style. Temps now seem to stay right around 200-205 degrees. I've got another track weekend coming up so I'll continue monitoring temps.
