any suggestions for a 12" SQ sub

thinking Hertz MP 300 D2.3 but open to anything under $600 each , more concerned with sound quality but do want some thump...

only 12" I've used in any car/boat in the last 10 years has been the jl 12w6. had both v2's and v3's. currently have one waiting to go in our camaro.
great sub, very musical but can flat out pound when in an open air environment like our last 2 wakeboats.

I will say the prior boat had a 13w7 installed from prior owner and it is stupid loud and clean but takes a HUGE vented box. 12w6 box is pretty small compared to.

not a fan of jl's mids/highs but subs, imo they are the best out there in the higher end lines. make some killer home subs as well.

Imagine Dynamics makes excellent SQ subs for the price.

I use a JL 12W6V3 and it's awesome. Another great option is the Audiofrog GB12 but both of these are more than 600 new I think.
Both Image Dynamics (IDQ12D4/D2 V.4) and Sundown Audio (SD-4 12 D4/D2) have great sub option for less money, but I've never heard them myself.
Another option for a really good SQ sub is the Dayton RSS315HO-44

You can download WinISD and model them all and see the differences.

I just removed 2 sundown 10" subs from my silverado before selling it. GREAT subs and they hit hard. if I didn't have a 12w6 ready to go into the camaro this spring I'd be shopping sundown as well. have heard great things about their customer service as well but had the 10's in the chevy for 4 years and NEVER an issue.
they were not from their high end line but not entry. each one has to weigh close to 25lbs and only needed 4" of mounting depth. they are going to be repurposed in our sonata at some point.
