It's a $495 option...I have it on mine............Kinda useless though.....
Apple carplay on my 2016 2LT RS V6 with the google maps is the best!

I use the optional navigation more than I do the android auto navigation... The cars GPS shows up on the gauge cluster and heads up display as well, It notifies you when you come up to traffic or whenever there's something happening up ahead even if you're not using the GPS system, It knows your direction of travel and gives you a heads up... it's saved me a few times already.

When Android Auto is running it shows traffic information ahead, But it has to be on.
Android Auto works really good on the fly for finding a restaurant or something, But I got used to not really ever looking down at the infotainment screen as everything I need is right in front of me. |

Yea, if you had the optional $495 factory navigation system, it would have the navigation icon on the screen. I have it & use it frequently. Personally I'm not yet a fan of the Apple Car Play system yet.
