Dash reflection in windshield

Does anyone have a solution for reflection of the dashboard in the windshield? It can be quite distracting on a sunny day. My dash is cleaned with a glossy finish which I prefer, but are cleaning products available that leave a non reflective surface on the dash? Thanks for any help.

Easy fix might be some polarized sunglasses.

Yes, get rid of that glossy cleaner, get Poorboys natural look on autogeek

it sets up a nice Matt finish that just looks clean and new, I've been using it for years

Thanks glen I will give that a try. I wear trifocals so the polarized sunglasses wouldn't be very feasible for me, but for the younger eyes that would be a good solution.

100% correct. That fixes the issue.

With polarized glasses you can't see the HUD.

Huh, that's weird. I can see it through my Maui Jims. Now I need to try some other glasses and see if my Mauis are just special.

Sounds like they polarized your lenses 90 degrees out...

I think some people think I'm insane when I'm filling the car up and I have to tip my head side to side like a dog to be able to read the damn LCD screen..

I have no issues seeing my HUD with any of my polarized sunglasses.

You can get Ray Ban (or other brands) tryfocals/progressive sunglasses for your prescription at Lens Crafters or any optometrist. I have Ray Ban's and they are great. In fact I find I can see out of them during the day better than my regular glasses.

As for the Camaro, I can easily see the HUD, but you need to turn the brightness up a bit and the windshield glare goes away with the sunglasses.

The HUD does turn a more greenish color with the sunglasses (I have brownish/amber lenses)

I can see mine but it's a different color with polarized glasses. I have to turn the brightness all the way up.
