Axles 2016 SS

hey everyone, Anyone had any issues with axles breaking? Was at the track on friday night and for the 2nd time blew an axle out of my car. It only has 6,00KM all be it mostly at the track.

PS when I say track this time it was on a road course

If you are going to MOSTLY track the car you should safety wire the bolts.

Did you SNAP a shaft at midpoint or did it twist out?

manual, broke once on 1/4 mike track 2 years ago after running 11.90 and now on road course on other side (driver) sheared all the bolts.

2 years ago on 1/4 mile at mid shaft passenger side sheared and last friday on road track sheared all the bolts driver side

No mods otherthan CAI, run DR's on the 1/4 mile track and Pilot sport cup 2 on road course

I guess the one side is the short bolt issue on the 2016 that they have a tsb for longer bolts. They fixed this in 2017 models but know one knows which build dates.

I still haven't looked under mine, I just can't fit under it to look. Mine was built in I believe March of 17 so I bet I have the short ones.

im surprised to here of a break on a road coarse... ive been beating on mine in the 1/4 not being as nice as i should. i found some loose bolts on the driveline that i addressed but im just waiting for a break before i upgrade. still a road coarse break is concerning....

Mine was built in May of 17. I'll have to check the bolts.

Ya that was my thought, when I broke them with my DR's in 1/4 mil that was one thing but on the road course I was shocked! good thing for GM warranty and that its not my daily driver.
