Standing in the chevy display I heard no less than 3 people as why who decided on the front styling and voiced their displeasure with it. I had a chance to talk to one of the engineers and asked if the fenders or hood dims were changed on the 19. She answered that they were the same as the 18 model.

I said "good, so the 2018 front end will bolt on?". She said yes, just need to buy the headlights and it's plug and play. She said I wasn't the first to ask.
The “hot swap” is actually great news!
At least they know the mess they did with this one.

Looking back on the 5th gen refresh, yes there were some changes but the front end basically looked the same, a little different sure, but nothing extreme. The '19 refresh front end is completely different looking, almost like it was designed for another car altogether and then just slapped onto the Camaro.

I wouldn't mind the front end so much if it were on a new car, say the GM answer to the Dodge Charger, then I wouldn't dislike it as bad, but as it sits on the Camaro, it just looks out of place. The rear end on the refresh doesn't match either, those big bubbly tail lights don't match anything else on the car, again it looks like it was designed for something other than a Camaro.
This pretty much sums up my feelings on it. The new front end just doesn't seem to flow with the car. To me it almost looks like they decided it must have part of the Chevy corporate face on it and this was the result. Also I still can't stand the location of the "Flow Tie". IF it is truly needed for additional cooling then the design was flawed from the start.

The new front end is so good, they didn't put it on the ZL1...

IMO I think the 19' refresh looks more aggressive rather then sporty next to the previous 16-18' models. Could care less where they put the emblem as my license plate will go below it regardless as to where i live... LOL I haven't seen it in person like most that weren't at CF but will upgrade to one after year end.

I definitely love the 16-18 front.

I'm not hating the 19 but I'm not in love with it - at least not yet. Maybe it looks better in person than in a one dimensional picture. It took a while for me to warm up to the 6th gen styling but I'm definitely on board now.

But I DO hate those 19 Mr. Magoo Glasses-looking tail lights. Ugh.

I’m sure the 19 will become the norm, but after staring at a gen6 for the last two years (2.0, 2lt and now a 2SS) I just love the look more when I see both side by side. Plus the refresh front end reminds me of a cross between a high school wrestler’s head guard and a Dodge Challenger. Sadly for Chevy, I’m reminded the same when I pass by a Challenger on the street. They look like brothers coming.

Gen6 is just sharp looking. Why I swooped up one before the refresh dropped.

Of course I didn’t want to trade in my 15 gen5 either until I test drove the Gen6 a year after it dropped, so what do I know?

I agree that the 19 front does not look as good as the 16-18 SS.

I was debating whether to get the 18 or 19, and seeing that the 19 is just one mod away to make it look nice, I am now considering only the 19 and swap the front.

Getting the 18 would not get me the new hood, the new rear and all the new electronics. In the 19, I just have to get the bumper from the 18 and Voila! (I hope you can make the swap, I read here somewhere that it was possible with no modification)

just my 2 cents for those who hate the new camaro front.

Lady at the GM display said it was a bolt on but you had to buy the 2018 headlights.

I see above that It's posible, so if you want it, you can Plus the Refresh has Stripe packages that are way better than the 16-18 ones

Wasn't it said in another thread that the hood lines don't quite match up to the old fascia?
