2019 Dead Pedal Removal - Help
Anyone know how it's attached?
Feels like it wants to come off, just don't want to break any tabs. Thanks |

If I recall, they are attached with some of those curved-in staples into the carpet. People that removed it to install stainless covers had trouble putting them back.

Thanks Groundhog......almost felt and I was hoping that it had some kind of a keyed tab that pushed in and then pulled down on the pedal locking it in place or something similar....

Unfortunately, the dead pedal is part of the driver side floor carpet assembly on our cars.
You can simply pull it off, nothing will break, but then you'll drop those claw clips into the floor and have no easy way of putting them back. What you need to do instead is first pop off the lower trim panel next to the door sill (see picture), lift the entire front section of the carpet, and then you'll have access to the clips. Don't ask me how I know all this
