Hell, I have no kids yet, just made a good investment on my first house at the perfect time in my 20s. Now my truck is fully paid off, the house I have now needed a rebuilt so I got it for a low price, doing all the work myself and have a pretty good full time state job. I'm 32 and just got lucky financially after screwing around in early 20s and not finishing college earlier. everyone's gonna be a little different but there are a lot of people that get blinded by wants and forget about their needs.
If anything happens I have a about 70k in equity between my two cars.

Are you sure about this? I would guess there are a fair majority here that are financed to the gills. Shall we reminisce the "what payments on a ZL1 would be"?

Mine is not, I'm not "older" either.. not even 30 yet.. but I am a very old soul..

Good for you! I was in a similar situation, with purchasing a new house in 2019. I almost stole it, remodeled the entire interior (most of the work done myself, completed in early 2020) so we have pennies on the dollar for what we have. Having liquefiable assets (with positive equity) is almost* as great as having something paid off. We, too, are in a position where everything has significant positive equity.

I can't fully support the "save every penny" until you can buy everything outright. Frankly, people can die young and my family has a history of cancer. I live a fairly healthy life, am healthy and quite active... but that doesn't mean I wasn't dealt a bad set of cards. I'll be damned if I've been barely getting by (pinching pennies) to have little time to enjoy the things I enjoy, or not have any time at all... tomorrow is never guaranteed.

Took it to the dyno to see what kind of gains a wake-the-dead-loud axle back system would provide over the stock NPP muffler. 5 HP. OK. Stock NPP muffler reinstalled.

To be fair, the NPP muffle has no restriction when the valves are open so maybe just a larger size was the benefit

what about the crushed part of the exhaust?
surely removing that must help release some power

went to my first car show with it today. It was a brisk morning, but there were probably 150 - 200 cars.

Nope, not crushed enough to be a restriction. Engine Masters did a test video in which they bashed in headers more and more, with no effect whatsoever (and that was right next to the engine, not several feet downstream).

This is one of those cases when intuition fails us, exhaust gases accelerate in that section, but there is no back pressure.

It sure looks wonky, that I'll give you, but it's just that, esthetics.

Awesome sight to see. With all the shows being canceled around here last year, I am looking forward to a better year hopefully this year and looking forward to attending some shows. First one for me here is June 5th. Can't wait.

Changed leaking belt tensioner and added extra grounding cable

Belt tensioner replaced - incredibly easy job. Also added the gen5diy grounding cable as a preventative measure
