Finally a Z/28! Yep I'm "That Guy"

So by now many of you have seen the thread here "Found a nice 2015 Black with 34,000 miles for $33,500 if anyone is looking". First I would like to say Thank You to Dr. Chill for posting it and 1badchicken for bringing to my attention. Then I'd like to say I'm "that guy" that bought it.

I'm a Chevy guy to the core and have previously owned a couple of C4 Corvette ZR1's and currently have a 2015 Camaro 1LE. None of my previous cars have excited me quite as much as this one. Unfortunately the 1LE has to go if I'm going to keep this one but I think I can deal with that.

My buying experience and dealing with the dealer was not at all pleasant. I did drive the car and inspect it as thoroughly as I knew how, including from underneath on a lift. I can confirm that as many of you with keen eyes noticed the car has a few cosmetic issues that I plan to deal with as soon as I am able but all in all looks to be a great car.

I'm sure I will be reaching out here for advice and getting to know my fellow Z/28 owners and couldn't be any happier to finally be a part.

Couple pictures of it next to my 1LE and cheers for now

I tried to get this car, I'm super jealous! Looks great next to your other one. Seems like a great buy.

I wasn't very happy with my interaction with the dealership either. Glad you got it worked out to your favor.

This Z/28 made me realize how close I am to actually being able to afford one. It will be hard for me not to keep my eye out for Z/28s for sale now

I'm sure if you'd clean out the 15 tons of junk in your garage, you could keep them both.

J/K Congrats!

Nice. Did you get it before the price went up?

That's awesome, I was worried the Z's weren't going to get much cheaper. I truly just need to pay down my SS for another year before I actually move forward on a Z/28.

Congratz! Even with the few issues you've mentioned, as long as the drivetrain and suspension are good then all is well! My offer still stands.. if you need any insight, advice, etc... let me know. I've had mine apart a few times now, and haven't even touched my wife's yet!

PM me your number and I'll get you added to the DFW Z/28 text list (they don't have a FB or social media presence). We are meeting this weekend at 0930 for our monthly breakfast get together.
