I qualify, their rates were over $100 per month higher than others for me. Which is why I don’t use them. They are a great company though. I always recommend folks shop rates every year no matter who they are with.

The 3Rs took 3 seconds off per lap for me, but that's at a corner heavy very technical track where they only last 2 days.

Tirerack seems to be shipping out 3Rs made in 2018 still, so I want with Torfeo R's made in 2020 and hoping they will last 3 days

two days?! man - dropping from 6 to 2 days (or even 3 if i'm easier on tires.. read: slower) ... that's pretty rough. even if the money's not an issue that's a lot of trips to get new tires mounted up. maybe once i get more used to my local tracks i'll be interested in seeing the delta with those tires but for now i think the SC3s are actually still pretty darn good.

so how do you get the USAA discount? I'm a member and have a loan through them but never knew there were other benefits.

I dug around on USAA and it basically connects you to the Goodyear site. I put in for SS 1LE tires and said not available. weird. I put in for Zl1 1LE and they came up with a $395 discount and you still get the $75 goodyear rebate on top of it. crazy. so the 3R's out the door from a local goodyear dealer would be right at 1200+tax.

Nice!

With SS 1LE tires I've had to look them up manually and then I can't add both front and rear at the same time, so you have to do 2 separate purchases. They are there, just not under the SS 1LE or ZL1 for whatever reason, look by size or model instead.

If you have a Goodyear credit card the rebate will double. I used mine in April and bought (4) 305 3Rs. The Goodyear store that they were delivered to didn't have the confidence to mount them without scratching my wheel, so they let me take them. I was fine with that as I already have a great tire guy. I did apply for a refund on the mounting charges but haven't seen that yet.

If it’s working for you stick with it for sure. Also as I’m sure you know, it’s better to improve your driving skills with slower tires, while I did not take that route which is the best route and I wish I had the self-control and discipline to do that, my track is so tight and technical it was my only chance against Porsche GT3‘s
