If the other one is intact, there's no reason to return it, these are technically separate parts now anyway, 84136777 was discontinued some time ago.

These things are very difficult to judge based on just a photo or two, plus everyone's tolerance threshold is different.

I think I’m going to exchange both for another set. The blemishes could buff out, however, I think the lights shouldn’t be in this condition if they are new. The protection in the box was sketchy as well. Here are the blemishes I was talking about

They look used, returned, and repackaged. Thus, the damage. Return.

My local dealer can’t return them but the dealer I bought them from is going to. Traveled 45 mins to my local dealer to find out they can’t return them even though I was told on the phone yesterday that I could. How are these people in business? Lol

Yet another example of piss-poor customer service by GM and their affiliates. But... we don't understand why our sales our down. SMH... sorry, you're dealing with this!

Received my second set of tail lights today. These are even worse than the 1st set. The dealer doesn’t want to send me another set due to the cost of shipping, which is understandable. I can’t even returns these to my local dealer. I contacted GM so let’s see how they handle this.

Damn, that sucks! I'm so sorry this has turned into a headache for you! One of the reasons I live by the opinion that if I don't like the vehicle as it is, then I'm not buying/leasing it. I absolutely loved my SS the way she sat on the lot. The only things I've changed are removing the badges and some all-weather, Husky liners. I don't like dealing with all of the nonsense.

It wouldn’t be that bad if I was able to return them to a local dealer. I don’t know why the process is this complicated.

Spoke to GM this morning about the issue. A couple of months ago I was told I was eligible for a $1500 credit because my car had issues with the supercharger and other problems. They were supposed to replace the supercharger in December but we received snow the day before my appointment and I didn’t want to get salt on my vehicle. The rep I was dealing with told me I was approved for the $1500 credit and it would be available after my supercharger replacement. Because I’ve decided to wait for the warranty work, GM assigned a new rep to deal with my situation. Today, the new rep offered a $250 accessory credit for the lights, however, they only allow one credit offer per vehicle. I explained that I approved for a $1500 offer from the other rep who previously handled the situation. The new rep explained that GM doesn’t offer a $1500 credit They also informed me that I wasn’t approved for any credit even though I was told I was approved. The max they were willing to give was $500. This includes the inconvenience for the supercharger and tail lights. So, I guess I’ll have to settle with the tail lights I have and a $500 credit. Apparently, GM doesn’t deal with issues like this. It’s between me and the dealer I bought the lights from, which is ridiculous.
