ST43 PADS VS DTC50

talked to some 1le guys over the weekend as im looking into some new pads for next year and just wanted to get your guys take on both of these

what do you guys run and what do you guys think about both setups?

dtc50 cheaper and doesnt last as long

st43 more expensive and longer life

im on 200tw treadwear tires btw and i have a zzp bbk which is ctsv3 calipers and 2 piece 1le rotors

Also quite curious. I started with ST43 and they do seem to wear well but they have too much bite for me. Hard to modulate without constantly getting the fronts into ABS.

i have heard that about the st45 but not the st43 i know some people mix and match but i wasnt ever sure what the reasoning on that was

Ive tried st43 a few years ago now, to me they are like an on/off switch, not allowing for much modulation under trail braking. They also run hot and i cooked my brake fluid easily, albeit on a brake challenging venue.
They were rough on rotors as well. They do last a very long time, but the heat will make your other components last much shorter. So not a good result. All imo. Cheers!

YMMV, there is no best pad. You have to decide based on your driving style.

I absolutely love the ST43s and run em, no issues. I run them Front and back

I go to/from easily on the ST43's. They have plenty of cold bite and don't squeak/dust as much as most track pads do. But they are a bit binary.

Driving style (as in depth of trail braking), venue type (as in cooling opportunities), ultimate pace, etc.

Likely what i said: on or off switch with not much in between modulation wise.

Stockers. Id likely try DS1.11 if i had a need to start braking earlier to improve my pace.
But i dont, as i make up for it under trail braking. Plus the value is good for my wallet and all consumables affected by extra heat. However, once i run thru my current supply i may give DS2500 a try as a slight step up from stockers and see how i like em.

You are tracking on the HP1000's regularly? Aren't they good for 650 degrees max? I've gotten pad fade at fast autocrosses on the stock pads.
