I can't be the only one, advice on exhaust?

Let me sart by saying I really like the tone Chevy gave the SS (2012) but I wish it had a volume knob, of course they fixed that, but not for me. So what I would like is to keep the same sound and tone but louder somewhat, not obnoxious, I live in a gated community. I love the sound of a full Stainless Works but no way I could do it everyday. Guess I'm looking for a unicorn, nice idle and deep throttle sound but zero drone. What do you guys think? ZL1 factory fit on my car???

Doug Thorley Tri-Y. Cat delete, and I don't want to do this again,..... but Cherry Bombs. I'm telling you this shit sounds great.. 2K drone that will knock your fillings out.. but mild enough before you get there, not to piss off the neighbors..So.. go a bit faster

Scott, I did think of that and listened to what videos I could find, the camera mikes didnt sound very good, almost like I'd be better with a catback, but that changes the sound drastically.
Bigmike, ???????

Grab some decent headers, Kooks LT.. Go Flowmaster back from there. You will be happy.

What do you think shorties would do for sound? Or is that just a waste because the sound would be the same without the power advantge?

Honest to god these guys are going to hate shorties... Long tubes, grab some power.. Get a buddy to delete some codes. So much easier in the 70s.

You are going to be happy with the sound... anything over stock sounds great. That's how they make money..

If you don't want it stupid loud, you can go with HF cats and a resonator delete, it will give a good sound and no drone.

Long tube headers, cat delete to save money, and stock exhaust is exactly the sound you describe, only better.
