Amazed, Wife said I could get Headers, CAM and Blower. Need some input.

We did a Camaro cruise yesterday and she loved the sound of a car with CAM, Headers and Maggie. I told her that would run around 16K to do on my L99. She told me to do it if I wanted to. I said really and she said yep.

So not sure I want to do it all, I am worried about breaking axles and blowing out my transmission. So maybe just headers and CAM.

Please chime in and tell me what you would do, who you would use to do it and what brand of stuff. I have done research in the past but want to hear from my fellow L99 owners.

Thanks ahead of time.

JRE smooth or rough idle blower cam no smaller than 1 7/8 ceramic coated or stainless steel headers of yor choice WITHOUT CATS. Maggie, Whipple, or Vortech are my choices but i really dont think u can go wrong with what u choose out of all the blowers available. after all that ur drivetrain might be a ticking time bomb waiting to go but u should be alright as long as u dont take it to a track and hook

Yeah not planning on tracking the car at all. That is why I am thinking maybe CAM and headers would be enough. I just want her to be a real quick street car.

Man....if my wife gave me permission to do this.... Well, first I'd have her sent in for a psych eval..... Then while she was getting that done, I'd be on the phone with Jannetty!!!! Go all out!!! If you have the funds.....(and the blessing from the wife).....Man, you've gotta do it all while you can!!!! Quick!!! Before she changes her mind!!! I never even considered adding a supercharger to my car, mainly because it was just too expensive, but if I actually had "authorization from the Queen"...I'd do it in a heartbeat. BTW, you have a very cool wife!!! I put new wheels and tires on a couple weeks ago, and my wife literally said she couldn't tell a difference!!! You should have your wife call my wife and give her some pointers!!!

Yeah going to price stuff out and really think on it. Only problem is I keep remembering I have a 18 year old heatpump downstairs that is dying. May just do headers and CAM and replace heatpump.

Since I blow out a set of rears every 10-15K the headers and CAM may be enough to make me go broke over time.

Are you planning on staying VVT or Ls3 conversion?

Lol I don't think I've ever had to get a green light for mods to my cars. I'll tell her what I'm going but I won't ask for approval. I was in this hobby before she met me so I'm not changing lol.
