Safe or Crazy?
Be the judge... Remember I'm in 3rd world. No access to quick engines/transmission nothing.
I'm on stock transmission and stock bottom end. I pump shit tons of meth.. 30%alc/70% water mixture. Inject at 1psi, full inject at 4psi. Upgrade rear end completely, some front end for wheel hop, axles, big ole slicks and skinnies. 8rib conversion for maggie.. Came with a 3.3", just ordered a 3.2" pulley. I see that the pulley will give 12psi. Is my car doomed? I will be dig racing the car on street. Should I be worried? Or can I get away with 12psi? I had a 3.4" pulley and 8-9psi was max but the belt was slipping like crazy so I would only hit 7-8 at like 5k rpm.. Most time it would be at 5ish. Should I get a 3.4" 8 rib pulley also and run that and when I got some game that I think may need extra power just swap it out for the 3.2" ?? |

1. Do you have another car to drive?
2. Would it bother you financially if you blew the engine and are you prepared if you do? 3. If you worried about it all the time is it worth it? If the answer is 1. yes 2. no 2. yes Then hammer down be smart and be ready. |

Looks like your injectors are up to the task. Are you "safe"? You should know there is no such thing as "safe" when boosting. Anything could happen at any time. It does look like you are taking the appropriate precautions......just have a back up plan and be prepared to be without your car for a while when "shit does happen" not that it necessarily will! I know you got the cash so why not just start on a short block in the mean time?

I think the key will not be beating on it all the time. Im sure your tune is on the safer side since Ted knows your Gas is SH*t. Save the car for the good races and don't waste your time on some slow car and be prepared for it to not last forever even if it does. Race gas is your friend! I have a new 24ft baja we just got a few weeks I wonder if i can coast that thing down to C. America with a cuddy cabin full of c16!

When your meth quits your done. Be ready, it's only a matter of time. Tomorrow or next year, but it will happen.
