I'm not saying a good fitting tire doesn't exist, but I couldn't find one. However, if you stepped up to 18's, then there are some decent options out there, including some "regular" radials for the front. And on 18's, many people are running 305/45R18 drag radials in the rear. I can't say that I would recommend that size all the way around, but they look good on the rear. Just my .02 cents.

Yeah, I've already made up my mind I'm going with 18". I can run
305/45/18 DR in back for the street. I also want to keep close to the stock ride height (I want some nice sidewall) for grip.

I think it may be just easier for my street setup to be

The 21s I got up front as is
And throw the 17s in the rear with some DRs and calculate correct size so my car doesn't freak out.

Then for drag/grudge I can just swap out the front for skinnies and take the DRs off the rear and throw on my slicks.

What do you guys think?
Sounds like a pain in the @$$ to me. I would say...for your "street" setup, just stick with the 21's front and rear, that you already have. For Race Day, swap out to the Welds all the way around. Simple enough, and you don't have to mess with dismounting, remounting, and balancing tires.

Good Plan! I think Nitto makes a NT555 in a 265/50R18 which is perfect for the front, and is a very close match (in diameter) to the 305/45R18's you're looking at.

How will 315 35R17 Mickeys go on a rear 17 with the stock pirelli 21s 245/40R21..

Anyone know if the height will be correct?

I know it's a pain in the ass but drag days here are about once every 3-4 months. And I really don't want to run on slicks/skinnies on the street.

I'm being offered 2 mickeys 315 35 17 for the rear set but I don't know if it's going to have clearance issues..? I ordered adjustable LCA and toe rods yesterday from BMR. worried about height though with front mounted 21s.

Your OEM 21" front tire is 28.6" tall, the M/T Drag Radial is 25.8" tall, that's nearly 3" difference. No it won't work, you would certainly have problems with your stabilitrak, ABS, and traction control systems. Plus, that 315/35R17 needs a minimum of an 11" wide wheel. A 17x11 Weld RT-S will NOT fit on the 5th Gen Camaro.

Like I said before, why not just use your 21's front/rear for the street?

21s I have on the car are worthless. I spin up to 80mph. I street race quite a bit in this car so I need some setup that can be used on the street as well. The slicks and skinnies are for the grudge matches (the cars that are real close races) and the regular setup is for everyone else... As is I can't launch the car from 0. It's literally impossible. I have to have at least a 50 roll and even at that I spin like crazy.

Question Question .... Front / Rear - and 2 Questions on DR Setup

Guys - in the theme here I wanted to also ask some advice, and has to do with some pretty strong knowledge which I appreciate.

1 - I have a street setup but am doing DR and do need to be able to drive them to the track - so not slicks just yet.

2 - I "quickly" found myself graduating (or mentally changing) from a NITTO 20" 05R into a 17" Mickey Thompson on WELDS - which I just got (I'll move the NITTO's and this was a mental move as much as anything).

3 - I am running street stock 20's up front now - not sure I want to drive to the track with Skinnies - but would like to pair them with WELD's up front - and a good track tire. Otherwise I will keep stock front and just not match for a bit (This is FIRST QUESTION?)

4 - The MT's I got are ET Street Radial II in 295/45R17 - but am very curious about the M&H Drag Radials (325/45R17) on my 17x10 Weld RT-S... There is just something about that LARGE FOOTPRINT that I like and curious on the take here between these 2 tires? Thoughts? (This is SECOND QUESTION)

Thanks guys for the input.

I just got a set of the 325 M & H drag radials for cruising around with on a set of 17" Bogarts. They are awesome. In the front I also run a 17" skinny with no issues on the road.

Ok SKINNY CLARITY (other than I need to lose weight ...

REAR - So if I roll with M&H WELD 17 & M&H Racemaster 325 /45R17

FRONT - Skinnies are new to me and looking for WELD 17 there also - could someone offer a good SKINNY SPEC (likely M&H or other) to match....

AND that I could be ok driving 90+ miles to the track on...

Thanks for all of your help guys!!!!

For a front skinny the M & H skinny that measures 28" tall is what you want. I'm not sure of the specifics. It's on their site and you'll have no problem driving 90 miles on them. Prob not the best thing in the world to do but you'll live.
