What are the best pistons and rods then for a 376?

Ask Ted. He built mine and would know. I want to say Manley pistons with arp 2000 hardware throughout. Not sure about the rest. The car is approaching 200 passes on 16 + psi and still looking for more.. A set of slicks lasts 6 months on this car.It gets abused.

Haha.

Are your main caps pinned?

The only problem with pinning them down here is I don't really trust any machine shop and doubt anyone here has the capability of drilling and pinning the main caps.....

Shit, now you're speaking a foreign language to me. That's a question for Ted. Sorry I can't answer it for you.

Pinning the main caps keeps the main caps in place. On FI cars the main caps will walk around and eventually cause damage. Anything over 800hp we pin the main caps. All the aftermarket blocks come this way as well.

Do you know anything about your car? You might as well just have auto text on for it to say "Ask Ted"

It would be easier just to slap some JB weld on the mains!

Where you are in C. America, I just get with a good builder and have them build you a complete engine. It will cost more, but you don't have to take a chance on someone down there messing up you $10k engine build. If you work with a good shop (several on here) they can have it put together and all you have to do is drop it in and get the PCM tuned.

Hell no! Tech is his dept. My area of expertise is the financial end.:But I do try and ask enough questions not to be ignorant.

There's a good shop here that can do it all apparently. Talked to some foxbody guys down here running 1000+ hp and the shop here has been working on his dart block everytime he blows it up.

But the reason I need a stroker is because there no crankshaft balancers here. I need a complete rotating assembly kit. If I just get pistons and rods I'd have to send my crankshaft up to the US just to get it balanced.
