Front shock spring spacer?

Hi all.
I want to say I've found the problem with a bumping noise in the driver side front of my car. This was on the shock spring.
The noise is gone now. The other side had nothing on it.
I found this while installing my new wheels. I was waiting to take it to the shop after I installed the wheels. Driven about 3000 miles with this on.

This can cause damage to the mangneto ride and I would have left it on, called the dealer and had them tow it back to remove it. Then have it stated in the maintenance logs that they left it on so in the future if you had issues with the mangneto ride then they would be responsible.

My dealer forgot to take them out as well, although it didn’t cause any noises. I discovered it when I got home. The only problem was the drive from the dealer to my house was over 500 miles...

They were removed when I bought my used 2017 ZL1 but I did find one under the passenger seat before leaving the dealership lot. I showed it to the salesman and asked him what it was and of course he didn’t know. I later found out what they were in the owners manual supplement and decided I would order one to have a pair to use if the Z ever needs to be put on a rollback.

These are spring spacers that are designed to be used on the front springs to increase the road clearance if/when the car needs to be loaded on a flat bed car carrier.
The dealer is supposed to remove them when delivered as part of the prep and then put them in your glove compartment for you in case you need to use them at a later point.

I don't think so. I believe it's only for the magneto suspension.

I drove my new 2024 ZL1 home yesterday all smooth highway driving. I got home, my driveway is gravel 800' long and uneven in places and I can only drive 5mph on it. This morning when leaving for work a found both of the spring spacers in the driveway, about 200' apart.
