Rear end juice

What are you all putting in your rear end, no pun intended

Are you all staying with factory oil or something different? I am looking at Lucas oil in the right 75w-90 but am curious what others are using

Stick with the OEM gear lube. There really isn’t anything better.

^^^ Yes. No disrespect to anyone, but why would you use a different oil than the one GM engineers specify?

As long as the fluid meets the GM requirements then you warranty can not be cancelled. Just like engine oil.

I used the factory AC Delco oil. It's full synthetic and has the limited slip friction additive in it already.

I have used Lucas Oil in every diff for years now but no one can tell me if it is the right stuff. Not taking the chance and heading to the dealer for the factory stuff.

Thanks for the input!

Lucas Oil differential fluid will be fine. Just buy the additive and add it.

There! Someone told you.

As far as I know, the OEM rear diff fluid has a crucial additive for the eLSD that no other fluid does/did at the time. I don't think you can do any better than the OEM fluid.

I run the factory GM 75w90 LS gear oil, I just changed mine Saturday at 1200miles and it was very black and burnt, so make sure you guys are changing early!

I have read similar findings on Camaro FB pages but when I changed mine at 1500 miles the oil looked new and the magnet nearly free of any metal.
