Sealing and bolt hole pattern. The holes that mount the TB would be cut into the lip of it was 5 inches . I guess if the adapter or eforce flange was larger you could have all the room in the world but to make it fit with what's on the unit is harder than it seems. It would be better to chop the snout on any blower and weld a flange to do what ever you wanted. Keep in mind opening the port of the snout to say 127mm... whoops there goes the holes that fit a 103 mm so to have options of running stock, 103, or 112 TB's on the same unit your forced with little problems like this.

Hopefully that makes since.. in other words if was to build up the lip where the 5 inch coupler goes it better be mounted 1st otherwise you couldn't get the bolts in the holes.

Or the TB are getting large to where normal hole pattern is invaded by port size.

Could the outside where coupler seals be slightly bigger on the throttle body to use a 5” coupler or would that interfere getting bolts in? They may make some slight changes since this is preproduction

I would really like to know if this would bolt up along with the shaft from a LT for proper belt alignment. Who knows. There could be pulley interference. I’m curios if Lingenfelter is going to use this snout and adapt something. If they cast their own it’s gonna be too expensive to make it worthwhile but if they adapt the Coyote one maybe the price won’t be so high.

I did see their car at the Throwdown. They were running a big snout and adapter because they were also running a NW112 mm TB

I had 4 reducers made to go from 5 inch (big gulp) to 4.75 (NW 112mm).. so 3 to sale if any other TBs out there.

No one in USA wanted to help or sale so I went to there source directly.

4 ply silicone 127mm to 120mm or 5 inch to 4.75 inches..

About to get back on it..

Had a misfire on #6 all cleared up with 1 new injector. Of course a little setback but while the injector was being replaced those couplers arrived about the same time and now the car is back together with no misfire and the 112mm is installed.

Here is a little preview before making pulls again..

Just picked her up.. I'm very pleased it turned out great.

The lingenfelter setup is every bit as good as advertises and then some. I love my cam and you will to if you want one that makes power with out that big chop. After several cars with stage 2, 3, and 4 cams it kinda gets old or maybe I'm getting old lol!

The setup made a little over 900 on e85 but dialed back down to 887 rwhp on the mustang dyno. Still some testing on lid spacers and comparing the 103 vs 112mm tb. to be done and we plan on doing that in about 2 weeks while testing the vararam intake.

Setup:

9.1 lower
3.0 upper
112mm. Tb
Ported heads
LPE cam, fuel pump

5.8 ms injector pulse
17/18 psi
Iats very good although only 4th gear pulls and no long 2, 3 and 4th pulls consecutively. If I see there is a problem I will get the dual pass exchanger from Edelbrock.

Matt thinks there is another 25 to 30 hp based on injector pulse and where timing is.

Now get that thing to the track. Dyno is one thing but performing at the track is a whole other ball game with these motors. Seem a bunch dyno well and go to the track and not make 140 mph. I would expect this setup to trap in the 147-149 range considering bolt on cars with stock blowers are in the mid 140s now. So hopefully you can get some passes on the car. Great write up and build. Thanks for being so open with it all so far.

So what’s your impression of the 112 throttle body? Is it giving you anything at this level or is it better left to the combo being spun harder with a 9.77/2.75 pulley? It’s hard to tell what you got out of it
