I believe (or should I say I have been told) that with the 1/4" thick adapter you will need to work around the different bolt patterns you wont have to modify your snout to clear the larger blade as it is sitting further forward due to the adapter/spacer thickness (so assuming that information is accurate you wouldn't even have to touch the snout). If that's not correct at the very least it would require alot less finessing with the grinder to clear the larger blade.

I have ported quite a few ZR1 95 mm TB's but this type of upgrade would definitely require computer tuning which could void your warranty. Its not plug and play (meaning work fine with your OEM tune) like my standard LT4 ported unit but if your willing to tune the car for the larger TB it is most certainly a worthwhile upgrade both on part throttle operation as well as WOT. It moves alot more air and is a much better TB in stock trim that really gives it an advantage when you attempt to further exploit those better design aspects with the porting work (keep in mind this TB was actually designed for a high HP car unlike the LT4 so I have a much better platform to tweak and improve upon).

I really need to get one on the flowbench and see how much more air it moves....I bet in ported trim, its close to 200 CFM more than a ported LT4 unit and blowers love when you reduce the restriction on the inlet side (and this larger TB would do just that).

Was thinking the same thing (???) and then it dawned on me.....LOL

I usually include one of these with any TB purchase (when Im not out of stock at least)

I use these alot around my shop to keep the drinks cold (I had a bunch that ERL left me awhile back and found myself grabbing for them when I went to the fridge). Then a year or so ago the light bulb went off in my head to have some made with my logo on there knowing I could send them out to my clients as well.

Good to know some of them are being put to good use!

I was probably one of the first to do a 95mm swap I did it when you almost couldn’t find one of these things as no one stocked them yet car was so new and it’s a great upgrade. Pray did some flow tests with his own stuff and a ported 95mm made more whp then the 103mm did. Pretty sure that’s his go to now over the 103 when comes to anything he’s selling. I probably picked up a good constant 2-3 mph over the stock one that I had also hand ported. But I did my nose at the same time so it’s not an apples to apples swap for me. My car makes quite a bit more mph then others on the same bolt ons and most run the 103mm When I did my supercharger nose and this throttle body it go me over the 135mph hump I was always around. Car started making 138 plus and even in the heat never went back under 136mph. Like Tony said it’s got to be tuned I made significant changes to my maf table even around idle to make it run right again. Well woth pulling the blower to port the nose and run this setup.

I’m new to all this mod stuff. That being said what am I getting for $100 more vs. the Katech? I have no problem paying up for something but it has to be worth the expense. If Tony or anyone else could explain what the differences are I’d appreciate it. Thanks

check out post 391.

Tony's customer service alone is worth the extra cost. I know from experience.

Just ordered one for my 18 2SS 1LE. Can't want! After 1000 miles I still can't adjust to the strange tip in response I get from the stock TB. It wouldn't be so bad if it was repeatable but sometimes the throttle response just changes for one random pull out.

I hate it. I was in denial it was there. It's there. Makes a smooth getaway difficult as well as 1-2 shift especially.

How do I buy one of Tony's TBs???

The suspense is killing me... I have my TM ported TB in the box, waiting to get installed. I wanted to do a before/after dyno to see if there were gains matched with the Rotofab I have, I'm about to just say f*ck it and install it without the dyno numbers.

If you are set on going to the Dyno for some numbers then I say hold back and wait to see if there is a gain. Do a pull stock, then one with the TB then another with both TB and the RF. It’d be interesting

No dyno for me. Doesn't matter.
