I didn't have to pay a DIME! And when I was flipping through the printouts they gave me of all the parts/labor details I saw just how much it would have cost me without the warranty.... a staggering $18,405!!!

Again props to Chevy for standing behind their track cars and warrantying this, and a shout out to Radley Chevrolet in Fredericksburg VA for taking care of me and getting it done in record time! 13 days from getting towed off the track to driving it back home with a new heart haha

Now I have about 2 weeks to get it broken in before I head to VIR for 2 days to put it to the test!

haha damn 18k for a full motor replacement? i thought it would be more to be honest with you

They never really said what they thought the exact cause was. The note the tech had written down was roughly: "#3 intake valve broken, fell into bore and shattered. Scoring to #3 cylinder wall and metal found in #5 & #7. Non-servicable". My guess would be stuck lifter but I guess we'll never know.

A funny note, the tech even re-installed my catch-can haha talk about service!

This new engine will see A LOT of track miles this summer as I'm trying to get in as much as possible before I leave for Germany so hopefully it holds up!

Glad it worked out like it's suppose to for a change.

Make sure you request the same tech next time you need something done, that's the key to getting your car fixed right.

Problem is this dealership is about 100 miles from my house lol the car only ended up there because it was the closest dealership to the track I was at when it died. Besides I leave for Germany in December so hopefully the only service I will need between now and then will be a couple oil changes!

Supercar3s are due at the end of July in the new sizes. Better than RS4s if you can wait.
