Heath,
You don’t have two left hands, so. It’s not a piece of cake but manageable. You just have to work carefully and precisely.

If I watch your vids and see what are you doing in your garage it’s just a normal conclusion.

That’s what I’m curious about the weight. As well as handling with electric assist. And would it be front or rear assist. I would think front. Then it’s a semi AWD.

Agreed, I'm thinking a semi-AWD as well. A friend of mine had a Buick LaCrosse that had an electric assist and he loved it. He found it handy for passing didn't see any decrement in handling.

If all this works that is great. I just hope there is some long term viability built in as well. I see many '67s driving around. Would love to hope to see many Fifty's on road decades from now too.

You are thinking like me....I think hybrids and driver assist (lane holding, parallel parking, auto braking) are evolutions that are now half a decade from self driving electrics. We better start building more Electric Power Plants to to feed our big Camaro motors!
I feel like I am sort of a museum curator. We do see a bunch of first gen Camaros, and I think gen6 will be in that class of classics that are ageless design that meets sporty function. I wonder how many gen1 owners ever thought their cars would be worth more than 200 times what they paid for it. For that reason, I am being careful not to over mod and chop up my classic. Not for the investment, but 40 years from now my great grand children will get to drive a real American Car... and I might even have a ‘67 or ‘69 parked next to it.... they will look at it like it’s a Model T...
Or... hell I might like a gen8 with the 900 HP Electric with full carbon fiber windings to shave weight and a S7 tool steel shaft to handle the torque. I might even have to upgrade to the quad speaker tail pipes that pump out computer generated big block thunder.....
Oh geez.... I hope we can still buy 93 octane in 2060

Now is very interesting times for car enthusiasts. We are on the verge of massive change and change is hard.

I too hope petroleum based fuels are still around down the road so that those of us who kept internal combustion engines can still enjoy our classics.

I’m all for the next big thing. But there is a lot to consider. If EV is truly the next step, then we massively need to upgrade the electric infrastructure in place. Can the current system handle the demand from all these vehicles charging at night? Will the oil companies finally start to install EV stations alongside normal pumps? Charging times will have to come down or range go up.

Lots of think about. As long as what we have isn’t outlawed and still available for enjoyment I welcome the new era of automobiles. I just am not sold on autonomous yet. And I’m a techie too lol.

It will be holographic logo on the fender, what are you talking about? Lol. And flying cars. All I can think of is Back to the Future 2.
