Is it OK to leave from a complete stop in second gear instead of first?
I was just was just wondering if damage to the transmission could result when doing it regularly. Thanks. |

It will wear down the clutch faster cause you will make it slip more.
Make a complete stop, and start from first gear. Less wear on the clutch, zero chance to get pulled cause you didn't do a full stop, Best for both. |

Should be fine. If its to avoid the stupid skip shift thing then just get the eliminator, they are only 15 bucks.

Start from 1st. Starting from second results in more clutch slip and will wear your clutch faster. It should be fine on occasion but I would avoid doing it regularly

I do the same if skip shift is activated. First -> third doesn't result in almost idle rpms like the 1st -> 4th skip shift does.

No skip shift in the V6 or I4 models.
I use 2nd to start on steeper downhills, but I can’t imagine a lot of that in Florida. |
