Map Lights Won't Turn Off

Got in my car this morning, and the map lights appear to be permanently on. They won't turn off even when car is shut off, locked and left for an hour. I can't find a fuse for them in the owners manual that I can pull, so I'm really at a loss. Has anyone seen this, or know which fuse controls them?

Silly question but...did you try the instrument cluster brightness knob? If you turn the brightness up all the way it'll turn the maps on too.

Not a silly question at all. I tried that, and I think the issue is that when I turn it up, I can hear it click on, but when I turn it down, I don't hear a click (of turning the map lights off). It cold be the switch is broken. That's why I'm interested in finding the fuse.

There is a similar thread her that may help or at least narrow the issue down for you .

Thanks. The only suggestion there is to take off the overhead cover and unplug the lights. I may be reduced to that, since I can find no info on fuse.

Fixed It

it turned out to be the interior cluster brightness switch sticking (it would turn the map lights on, but not off). I just flicked it back and forth about twenty times, and one time it worked. Now, I just need to be sure I never turn them on again.

Thanks for the suggestions.
