Dual Methanol Nozzles E85 and 12lbs of boost!

So we had some fun scares over the past few weeks.. Supercharger tensioner pulley flew off at 4500rpm on the dyno, Had a PCV Connector blow out of the intake spray methanol everywhere! And what we thought was a dying torque converter turned out to be Rear Main Seal sucking air in and sound echoing through the bellhousing.. Because of a BAD flow restrictor.... and when I say BAD I mean I put it on backwards even after double quadruple checking all PCV and vacuum lines after the noise came about...

Now keep in mind this caused other issues since the alky controller is based off vacuum pressure it was spraying meth even at idle all the time so we had to power down the meth until we figured out the vacuum issue.

So we were ready to tune on E85 we ran with 2 gallons of 93 in the tank and 15 Gallons of E85 did a very light tune and ran through full tank of gas Refilled and tuned a bit more. On a very light e85 tune 1 methanol nozzle and 10lbs we started to run out of fuel around 440whp and 19 DEGREES of timing with no knock. So these engines are loving E85 for sure.

So we ordered alky dual nozzle upgrade finished the tank of e85 off refilled installed the 12lb pulley with everything buttoned up and ready to go....Tomorrow.

Is meth even needed running E85? Are you not running an aftercooler or anything?

Yes sir I was using it for cooling and safety on pump but now we need it for extra fueling at WOT until we can figure out a replacement for the highside pump.

Good progress. Love modding and hotroddin cars. Even when you find hiccups there still a buffet at the end of the improvement rainbow!

Is the hpfp the limiting issue still thats ran off one of the cams? I remember reading on it in the LFX based forums when cats started boosting n cammin that 3.6L engine.

Its looking that way I havent dug into the HPFP too much information wise might be the same as the 2.0t or the V8 if its the same as the v8 a lt4 swap might be nice and easy.. I do have zl1 in tank so that is taken care of. But for now just to see how the car is going to run on 12lbs with E85 and since I already had a meth kit installed we might as well use it!
