What diff do they run in the 6th Gen SS and will the 5th Gen ZL1 diff fit? I know the axels won't.

225mm ring gear 2.77 gear ratio.

I do know the mounting of the 5th gen has a horizontal bushing at the rear bottom of the diff, whereas the rear on the 6th gen diff is a flat wall and the bushing is mounted in the cradle itself.

So not likely it will fit without some decent fabrication.

Added some pics, the one with the cooling lines comin out is the 6th gen diff. The one the guy is working on is the 5th gen. Both are shown from the rear.

not sure of the maker, but a clutch plate style... not gears.
